The Company :
Our client is part of a global company, running a mid-size fast paced, food manufacturing site serving Canadian and US customers.
The Opportunity :
Our client is looking for an HR Generalist who can also lead Payroll. They are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Generalist to join their team.
In this dynamic role, you will provide comprehensive support to all employee levels, hourly and salary and support the Head of HR across multiple sites in Canada and some in the USA.
This is a true Generalist role, supporting all HR functions and workforce management, including recruiting, employee relations, health and safety, leave and attendance tracking, and administer payroll, and employee records.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of their work.
Responsibilities & Deliverables :
- Generalist support for all areas of the business at all level
- about the ESA and ensures that the policy and decision are consistent with the ESA.
- with end-to-end recruitment process ensuring that the selected candidates have the functional and effective competencies for the role.
- of Joint Health & Safety Committee.
- required documentation consistent with past practice and current policy including; employment confirmation letters, disciplinary letters, wage increase letters, & Record of Employment.
- first point of contact for employee questions in the areas of pay and time off policies - actively support open door policy through words and behaviours.
- employee training for all government-mandated programs.
- and leads payroll by providing all relevant information such as new hires, time off, hours worked, wage rate changes, and employee information updates.
- weekly timesheets and processes approval.
Competencies & Qualifications :
- in Human Resources or related field.
- is considered an asset but not required.
- years in a related Human Resources role, manufacturing environment is preferred.

- have 2 years of experience with full cycle recruitment including experience with various hiring channels and methods, candidate review, and pre-screening.
