THE ROLE

Reporting to the VDC Manager, the VDC Coordinator supports preconstruction and construction teams with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tasks. The VDC Coordinator will work closely with the VDC Manager and site teams to support the implementation of VDC processes for projects at every stage of development, from preconstruction to construction to project turnover. They will assist with the development of construction models and related project documentation to support VDC tasks such as project scheduling, quantity and cost estimating, change management, trade model coordination for the creation of a federated model, clash detection and resolution.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Autodesk’s software including but not limited to Revit, Navisworks, AutoCad, & Civil 3D
• Experience in working in collaboration software such as Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Procore
• Experience creating and executing BIM Execution Plans
• Diploma, degree or equivalent experience in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of virtual design and construction (VDC) principles and practices
• Demonstrated ability to translate 2D drawings and specifications into a complete 3D building model
• Excellent collaborative and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fixed deadlines.

NICE TO HAVE

• Understanding of Construction-Operations Building information exchange (COBie) processes and common data environments (CDEs)
• Understanding of construction documents and processes (i.e. RFIs, submittals and shop drawings)
