Lead Hand Shipper/Receiver

Preference will be given to those with a manufacturing, production and warehousing background. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of talented individuals to achieve their goals and deliver exceptional results.

You will provide leadership, mentorship, and support to team members while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities :

• Supervising a small team of employees
• Ensuring production is meeting shipping schedules
• Perform general labour duties on the floor
• Operate MHE handling equipment
• Read blueprints and use various hand tools for assembly support

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

• Proven experience in a leadership position
• Comfortable negotiating freight handling renewal contracts
• Knowledge of international shipping and associated rules / processes
• Strong knowledge of e-commerce logistics processes and best practices- Experience in Netsuite ERP software an asset
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and their functionalities
• MHE certification would be an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office products
• Previous manufacturing, machining or inventory control experience
• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit
