Job Description : QC & PDI Inspector Active Sites (Richmond Hill to Queensville)

Position Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QC & PDI Inspector to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of residential construction projects across multiple active sites, spanning from Richmond Hill to Queensville.
As a QC & PDI Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, managing defect rectification processes, and contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality homes.
Key Responsibilities :
Quality Control Inspections :
- Conduct comprehensive quality control inspections of residential units at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with established standards, codes, and regulations.
- Identify and document construction defects, non-conformities, and deviations from plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to address and rectify identified issues promptly.
Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) :
- Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of completed residential units to ensure that all features, finishes, systems, and components meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
- Create detailed reports outlining any deficiencies and communicate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain accurate and organized inspection records, photographs, and reports for each site visit and inspection performed.
- Generate clear and concise reports highlighting inspection findings, recommended actions, and follow-up plans.
Quality Assurance Support :
- Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure all construction activities align with quality assurance guidelines.
- Offer expert advice on quality improvement strategies and best practices to enhance overall construction quality.
Defect Management and Resolution :
- Monitor and track the progress of defect rectification activities, ensuring timely completion and satisfactory resolution of identified issues.
- Verify that corrective actions have been taken to address any identified defects before final handover.
Communication and Collaboration :
- Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including construction, design, engineering, and customer service departments.
- Effectively communicate inspection findings, quality concerns, and improvement recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
Continuous Improvement :
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices related to quality control and construction inspection.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your expertise and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control inspections and / or pre-delivery inspections within the residential construction industry.
- Thorough understanding of residential construction standards, building codes, and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document defects accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey findings and recommendations.
- Proficiency in using inspection software, MS Office suite, and digital tools for report generation and documentation.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various active sites across Richmond Hill and Queensville.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple inspections simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction quality control or related fields is a plus.
