Job Description
The IT Business Analyst (User Security and Controls) role is to support the Business Applications team in the planning, design, development, and support of efficient business systems within core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This role includes potential for designing, building, testing and analyzing application configurations and report development. The IT Business Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. Supporting risk management administration is a key function of this role. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issuesReview and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systemsIdentify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure‑taking actionsAcquisition And Deployment
Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applicationsConduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing effortsPerform cost‑benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisionsOperations Management
Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives to enhance solutions that address existing and potential trouble areas in systems across the organization, proposing solutions that are feasible and scalableAssess and amend any errors in a timely fashionPrepare status reports where requiredPerform in-depth tests for modified and new systemWork with and assist project teams on implementation or upgrades of new and existing business solutionsConfigure and maintain applications at an administrative level and across multiple environments, including user security and other application configurationsSupport application data refreshes from production to development and test environmentsFollow proper change management processes when performing any changes to solutionsBuild, test, maintain application security roles and related business objectsUser management including administering user access requests for the provisioning of roles and data access, user categories and SSO groups, and deprovisioning following internal governance practicesOTBI report creation and maintenance, including managing and maintaining OTBI securityRisk Management creation, maintenance of model and controls, including model migrations and control deploymentsAdminister security incident assignments and related models and controlsMaintenance of scheduled jobs within Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM and RMCWork with Oracle Support for issues as applicableOther duties as required to support the IT Business Applications team
Qualifications
Education
Required : College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, or management information systems and 3 years related work experience.
Work Experience
Required : 3+ years’ experience in deployment and support of software systems implementations within a global environment (cloud, hosted and on‑premise platforms)Oracle Risk Management Cloud 2‑year preferred experienceKnowledge Required
In‑depth technical and administration experience supporting applicationsOracle Fusion Knowledge (technical, ERP, HCM) including basic functional knowledge of related modules (GL, AR, AP, PPM, SCM, OTL, Core HR, Talent, Recruitment, Absence)Knowledge and hands‑on experience in applications such as Oracle Fusion, Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle EPM, InEight Cloud, SharePoint, Intelex Safety, E‑Front LMS, PowerBi, Big Data applications is beneficial to this roleDemonstrated project management skills; Business Analysis and Project Management Fundamentals training or PMP designation considered an assetExperience in the design, development, implementation and support of business solutions and systemsExperience in the operation and analysis of databases, data retrieval methodologies and importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs and flow chartsExperience with Oracle BI / OTBI report and data model development an assetPersonal Attributes
