Job description

Telecon is looking for a motivated and careeroriented individual to join our growing team as Structured Cabling Inside Sales Representative.

This role focuses on generating and closing new sales opportunities while supporting the retention and growth of existing customers. The position supports the delivery of communications infrastructure solutions for small, medium, and large organizations, including telecom network construction, managed data and network services, cabling, security solutions, and integrated ICT services.

This full-time, permanent position offers a base salary plus performance incentive plan, health insurance benefits, and a company-matching RRSP from day one of employment, along with the flexibility to work remotely from home.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

The expected annual base salary for this position is in the range of $55,000 - $65,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and assess opportunities within the telecommunications industry.
  • Sell telecommunications products and services to new and existing customers, including but not limited to structured cabling, data networking, devices, and managed services.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Provide technical consultations on structured cabling and connectivity solutions.
  • Prepare and present accurate quotes to new and existing clients and conduct follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with outside sales, estimating, and project management teams to deliver turnkey infrastructure solutions.
  • Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs and requirements.
  • Identify prospective customers, generate leads, and convert them into active clients.
  • Liaise with internal teams, including estimators and operations management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support company objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1–3+ years of sales experience, preferably within the telecommunications or construction industry.
  • Proven experience in inside sales or account management (Telecom or Construction Industry preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical specifications to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PDF tools).
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
  • Working knowledge of industry regulations and trends.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and administrative skills.
  • Relationship-focused mindset with the ability to identify and resolve customer challenges.
  • Confidence in public speaking, cold calling, and negotiating sales terms.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve sales quotas
