Purpose of the position
Come join us, we are a tight-knit gang, we have fun working together, the residence is beautiful and our residents are super friendly.We are currently looking for a creative and passionate Cook who wants to offer an exceptional culinary experience to residents.The cook helps prepare cold dishes and desserts, cuts and peels vegetables or fruits, arranges plates, and much more! Permanent full-time day position, available from 7 to 6:30 for 32 hours per week and every other weekend. Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
- When appropriate, collaborate with the chef in the creation of the menus by proposing ideas
- Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff in the kitchen
- Assemble plates of food
- Plan and cook meals in accordance with the appropriate methods and standards
- Peel and cut vegetables for meals
The ideal person has :
- Good judgment and priority management
- Autonomy, dynamism, versatility, sense of organization and initiative
- Have a strong interest in seniors
- Team spirit
- Punctuality and reliability
Required qualifications :
- Training certification (MAPAQ)
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
