There is an opening for an Accounting Clerk through Robert Half, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract position located in the Aurora, Ontario area. Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance
- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- Help Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
- Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
- Post financial figures to journals and ledgers
- Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
- Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
- Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Adeptness in account reconciliation
- Outstanding data entry skills
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
- BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
