What You’ll Do
As a Driver, you will be delivering bulk blasting agents to Quarry/Mine Operations in the region. You will complete pre-trip inspections to ensure that truck and delivery equipment is in good operating condition. Other duties include:
Safely drive up to 14MT Capacity bulk truck on public and site roads.
Ensure that all regulations are understood and followed: (TDG, Explosives Act, Bulk Regulations, WHIMIS)
Ensure the proper quantities are made available for each delivery/Responsible for Inventory
Ensure the quality of products delivered through regular calibrations and sampling of products delivered at the job site.
Assist in light maintenance to truck and equipment under the supervision of Mechanic or Supervisor
Ensuring that company policies, safe work practices, hazard analysis, and standard operating procedures are followed.
Periodically assist with some blast site duties under the supervision of the blaster.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum educational requirements: Completion of high school (Grade 12) or experience in the related fields.
AZ license
Mechanical inclination with an interest to learn routine maintenance tasks around shop and on mobile equipment, a plus
Basic computer skills, operating delivery systems, E-log and computer training.
A positive professional and courteous attitude is an asset when dealing with customers.
