Are you an experienced Internal Assurance and Enterprise Risk Management professional?

As part of the transformational journey to build a best-in-class unit, the scope and nature of the former internal audit function was also expanded considerably and now covers a wide spectrum of assurance and risk advisory services including significant work on key strategic initiatives for the university. Consistent with this transformation, the internal audit function has been renamed to “Internal Assurance” to reflect its broadened and elevated mandate; however, the discipline of internal audit remains firmly embedded within all assurance activities.

You will play a key role in managing the organization’s top risks by evaluating systems and related risks and controls and assisting in the implementation of ERA’s digital strategy to enhance the use of data analytics in engagements by providing insights about trends and anomalies, as well as, supporting data-driven decision making. Also, this role will provide advisory and assurance services for digital and operational risks including business continuity and resilience, process automation, controls testing for key business processes and critical cloud systems. Also, the Senior Consultant will work with co-sourced subject matter experts on highly-technical or complex audit engagements.

This position requires you to be a problem solver, solution generator, and trusted advisor to our clients, promoting continuous improvement through a strong understanding of business processes and investigation into root causes of identified risk. A collaborative approach will be critical for the successful candidate and is demonstrated by engaging in open dialogue, being curious, and encouraging innovative solutions with our clients.

Job Requirements:

Here are some of the items that you'll bring to the table for this role:

[-] Professional designation in internal assurance (e.g., CIA, CISA) preferred.

[-] Experience with enterprise software implementations and migrations, e.g. large scale ERP or CRM systems such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar

[-] Understanding of how key risks and controls impact the business from an operational, strategic, reputational, financial, hazard and academic perspective (e.g., ISACA - including COBIT and Risk IT frameworks).
