Our client, in the not-for-profit sector, seeks a Senior Accountant to support them during a period of transition. This role will start out on a three-month contract and has the potential of extension.
Reporting directly to the Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Issuing transfer deposits
- Loan statements (interest calculations)
- Preparing financial statements
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and review account history
- Fund accounting
- Journal entries
To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated Senior Accountant (CPA or equivalent), with at least 5 years of full cycle accounting experience. You are comfortable working in a very structured environment, with multiple stakeholders, and changing priorities.
In addition to the above, the following skills and experience are also desired:
- Experience with the NFP sector
- Strong attention to detail
- Superior communication skills
- A keen eye for process improvement
- Experience with QuickBooks would be beneficial, and strong EXCEL skills are a must
