Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
- Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
- Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Take part in various department-wide initiatives
- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
- Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Job Requirements:- Self-starter and strong ethical standards
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems
- Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
- This position requires financial reporting systems proficiency
- Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
- Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
- Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
- SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
- Quality experience with Journal Entry Preparation
- Proven knowledge of SAP
- Experience with financial statement preparation
- Month end closings experience
- Wide ranging experience with Month-end Journal Entries
- Earlier work involving Microsoft Excel
- Comprehensive knowledge of Analyze Variance
- Command of variance analysis
- Practical knowledge of Journal Entry
- Well-founded grasp of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
- General familiarity with journal entries
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Financial Statement experience
- 5+ years of overall general accounting experience
