A premier and nationally recognized leader in the Canadian food processing and dairy manufacturing industry with nearly 140 years of brand heritage is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to join their maintenance team in British Columbia.

This critical position plays an essential role in keeping high-volume processing and packaging lines running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Position: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
Location: Delta, British Columbia
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time
Pay Rate: $47.67 / hour
Schedule: Afternoon Shift: Monday–Friday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Flexibility required for seasonal/departmental needs; weekend overtime as production demands)

Eligibility:

Red Seal or BC Journeyman Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (food, beverage, or fast-paced CPG manufacturing preferred)
You possess a full set of personal hand tools -asset

Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades on high-speed processing, packaging, and material handling equipment
Execute daily work orders promptly, implement root-cause corrective actions, and perform approved mechanical modifications
Complete and document all preventive and reactive maintenance activities thoroughly to support plant reliability
Read, interpret, and work off technical blueprints, schematic drawings, and mechanical diagrams
Inspect and test machinery to ensure continuous, safe plant operations and a hazard-free work environment
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to make operational recommendations and promote industry best practices
Participate actively in health, safety, and food safety compliance programs across the facility

Qualifications
Valid BC or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Certificate of Qualification as a Millwright
Minimum 2 years of related industrial plant maintenance experience
Sound working knowledge of plant equipment operations, mechanical systems, and diagnostic problem-solving
Strong proficiency in reading complex mechanical schematics and technical drawings
Additional tickets or experience in welding, refrigeration, or steam/boiler operations are considered strong assets
Excellent problem-solving, mathematical, and critical thinking capabilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle physical tasks safely in an active industrial plant
