Base pay range : CA$90,240.00 / yr – CA$124,080.00 / yr

Job Description

The CIMA+ offices in Western Canada are in the middle of a large growth trajectory. This means new, exciting complex projects you will have the ability to shape and be a part of. Primary Responsibilities

• Design and review the protection and control drawings of substation systems and power systems
• Approve project deliverables, including detail drawings, electrical diagrams, layouts, equipment sizing, etc.
• Collaborate with members of the engineering team as well as project managers from other disciplines
• Prepare plans, drawings and calculations based on specifications provided
• Responsible for the development of electrical Command and Protection systems, including single‑line diagrams, logic diagrams, three‑line AC diagrams, protection and c.c. control diagrams, wiring drawings, device connection drawings, assembly plans, material lists and quotes for the manufacturing and installation on site of Control and Protection panels
• Supervise the development of AC and DC station service power systems, including single‑line diagrams, AC & DC load calculations, AC & DC distribution diagrams, connection drawings of chargers, batteries, inverter, etc.
• Participate in site surveys (stations and power stations)
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines : equipment, civil, mechanical and building in order to develop design solutions for optimized and advanced substation and power plant systems
• Possibility of carrying out site work sporadically when the opportunity arises (start‑up or monitoring)
• Perform QA / QC of the electrical engineering design packages
• Attend review meetings and update the work package based on client’s comments
• Support commissioning and field engineering
