Assisted Living and Social Services (ALSS) provides supports for seniors, families, and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, continuing care, financial supports, affordable housing, services for the homeless, and other social-based programs. The Ministry supports Albertans through a person-centered, integrated service delivery model that recognizes the unique circumstances, experiences and strengths of individuals and families. The Corporate Accountability and Planning (CAP) branch and the Quality Assurance and Accountability (QAA) unit within the Ministry of ALSS guide strategic efforts to assess and improve performance while ensuring public accountability for ALSS, with the QAA unit focusing on Quality Assurance (QA) and Strategic Evaluation (SE) through a comprehensive Performance Management Framework (PMF).
The QA team serves as a provider of a common frame of reference for quality assurance across the Ministry and works to create a QA culture that is part of the way the Ministry does business. The QA team ensures that quality-focused initiatives and quality assurance strategies across the entire ministry and in every program are coordinated, aligned, adequately supported, and consistently managed. Moreover, the QA team sees to it that quality assurance initiatives and activities within the department align with all activities led by the CAP branch.
Role Responsibilities
The QAA Unit is seeking highly skilled professionals to join as Analyst – Quality Assurance (PS3), Analyst – Quality Assurance (PS2), and Analyst – PMF (PS3). The positions provide exciting opportunities to contribute to strategic initiatives, enhance performance management practices, and foster continuous improvement across ALSS programs and services.

Equivalency
Hours of work : 36.25 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
