Finance Analyst, Consolidation

We are looking for an analyst to join our external reporting and consolidation team and be at the heart of the consolidation function, assisting the senior analyst and manager in the preparation of the monthly internal consolidated financial information and related analysis.

As part of your role, you'll be working closely with divisional accounting teams based in various locations around the world, as well as with the tax, FP&A, and treasury functions.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO :

  • Perform the monthly and quarterly consolidation process under the supervision of the senior analyst, including preparation of internal consolidated financial statements.
  • Prepare journal entries and related analysis to ensure complete and accurate elimination of intercompany transactions.
  • Record journal entries on various corporate accounting subjects (Share Capital, Dividends, Share-based Compensation, FX, intangibles and Impairment).
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to assure continuous improvement of the consolidation function and maximization of the entity systems.
  • Contribute to the preparation of external consolidated financial statement and MDA, specifically disclosures and normalized items.
  • Ensure accounting, financial reporting and disclosures comply with International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) and underlying processes comply with internal controls requirements (SOX).
  • Address queries from auditors and internal reviewers.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES :

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • CPA or CPA candidate required.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements applicable to public companies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Application expertise (desirable) : Blackline, SAP & Controller.
  • Interest in using and learning financial software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
