Senior Tax Manager

Direct Hire role at Permasearch, a TPI Company.

Base pay range

CA$135,000.00 / yr - CA$140,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities

Supporting tax partners through the identification of tax planning opportunities and strategies in the firm’s varied client base.
Preparation of step planning memorandums and technical reports for clients and partners alike.
Assisting with the mentoring of other team members with respect to tax.
Assisting with performing the review of personal and corporate tax returns and tax projects.

Qualifications

CPA in-depth tax course or Master of Taxation degree would be an asset.

Ideally a minimum of four years experience with at least two years specializing in tax.

Extensive knowledge of personal, corporate, partnership and trust tax legislation and compliance requirements.

Superior verbal and written communication skills are required.

Knowledge of TaxPrep is required.

Previous experience in corporate reorganizations, estate planning and various filings of tax elections (Section 85, CDA, etc.) is desirable.
