ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER
Job Description
Our client is an established electrical contractor operating in the Greater Toronto Area for more than years. They are growing as a company and seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee IPD projects.
Salary : CA$K-CA$K
Shift : Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
Duration : Full time Salary
Because of the nature of IPD projects, this role will require significant interaction with office and field staff, other managers, and key IPD stakeholders;
and incorporate a blend of technical, people, and workflow management skills to contain the project’s costs while achieving the project’s goals.

Duties & Responsibilities :
- Ensure project(s) objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are met in accordance with company policy and contract specifications.
- Responsible for material take-offs and issuing purchase orders.
- Ensure preparation of as-built drawings and operational and / or maintenance manuals.
- Build, maintain, and promote good customer and supplier / vendor relationships.
- Ensure project plan and construction schedules and milestones are developed and monitor progress against established schedules with sire foreman and / or site manager.
- Review contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and price these changes for consultant and owner approval.
- Ensure progress reports are developed and progress schedules are issued to clients.
- Establish and update schedule timelines, meet aggressive client deadlines, and prioritize work when required.
- Review draws and specifications to ensure required products and materials are properly produced.
- Review and track budgets to avoid cost over-runs.
- Review performance and costs of IPD Partners to help maintain IPS profit pool.
- Attend IPD meetings regarding validation, finance, cost reviews, etc.
- Ensure compliance with project health, safety, and environmental standards and legislation.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements :
- 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience in an ICI Electrical Contracting setting.
- Experience with MS Project, Accubid, Jonas Construction, or similar software.
- Completion of a Construction, Building Technology Diploma, or Electrical Engineering Degree is considered an asset.
- PMP Certification considered an asset.
