What it’s like to be a Northbridge Senior Underwriter

Our Senior Underwriters provide complete solutions for our commercial mid-market businesses. This position is within our Western Canada Manufacturing & Resources Mid-Market team. Senior Underwriters work closely with a wide range of broker partners to get a holistic picture of each risk and make underwriting decisions that make sense for all parties. They are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders and love utilizing their strong technical skills to ensure that risks are assessed properly.

While they are already experts in their own field, Northbridge is committed to their ongoing growth and development. Working in a collaborative team they provide coaching, mentoring and development for less experienced underwriters.

We want your talent

If you are great at:

• Commercial Underwriting

• Problem-solving and critical thinking

• Building relationships with brokers

• Creating success in a fast paced and dynamic environment

• Helping others develop through coaching and mentorship

If you have:

• 5+ years of Underwriting experience in property, casualty, and automobile

• Completed, or pursuing your CIP designation

• Strong customer service background

• Team-first mentality

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
