This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x‑rays and reporting results to medical providers. Additional duties include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care centers and supporting medical providers, medical assistants, and patients through patient‑care management, organization, and communication.
Perform x‑ray services for patients of all ages, ensuring correct positioning and safetyPush patients in a wheelchair if neededPrepare patients for examination, conduct interviews, record medical history, and verify purpose of visitPerform preliminary physical tests (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) and escalate critical cases to providerConduct point‑of‑care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG) and provide results to providerMaintain medical records; scan charts to patient files; conduct courtesy call‑backs for follow‑upDocument daily controls, calibration, and quality assurance logs for equipment; troubleshoot and submit repair tickets as neededParticipate in routine maintenance, cleaning of X‑ray equipment, and supply managementAdhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principlesCollaborate with ordering / treating provider to determine procedures or views that best assist in accurate diagnosesExplain procedures to patients, ensure comfort and safety, and answer questionsVerify image quality and ensure images are sent to radiologists for interpretationDocument all procedures accurately in electronic systemsJob Requirements
Education
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program (required)High School Diploma or equivalent (required)Work Experience
Experience in a clinical setting preferredRequired Licenses / Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) at the time of hire (obtained through ARC or AHA)American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registrationApplicable state licensure as a Radiologic TechnologistOther Qualifications
