Your Opportunity

Stantec’s Mining Practice is hiring an Electrical Power Engineer to join our growing team across Canada. The position reports to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor. As an Electrical Power Engineer, you will be a key member of the electrical team working with various clients in completing feasibility studies and detailed engineering projects for underground and surface mining operations. You may work on domestic and international projects. This is a full‑time position.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Work with a team of engineers and designers in the planning and execution of project work, including scoping, asset integrity assessments, as‑built documentation, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering. Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
• Provide clients with engineering support to meet their needs and incorporate client suggestions for future requirements in a timely, efficient, and cost‑effective manner. This position is client‑facing and includes attending client meetings, which may at times be remote, as well as corresponding directly with the client.
• Regularly interface with other disciplines and departments to execute projects.
• Part‑time office presence is a requirement.
• Review and analyze drawings for possible safety and constructability problems before issuance to clients.

Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final agreed compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated.
