Live-in Accommodation Provided | Full-time with flexibility for overtimeWe are seeking a caring, organized, and energetic support worker to assist with the care of a non-verbal autistic adolescent female in a busy single-parent household. A second child in the home requires minimal support. This full-time position (45 hours / week) involves split shifts around the school day, with flexibility for additional hours during sick days, school holidays, snow days, and occasional weekends or overnight respite.________________________________________POSITION HIGHLIGHTSDaily Care Responsibilities

  • Daily Care Responsibilities : oMorning (7 : 00-10...) : Assist with dressing & hygiene, breakfast, preparing a healthy packed lunch, and ensuring readiness for 8 : 15 school departure. Light household tasks (e.g., laundry, tidying up after meals) before the school run.oAfternoon / Evening (2 : 30-8 : 30) : School pick-up, prepare and serve dinner, engage in physical activities (e.g., walks, biking, swimming), supervise homework, assist with bathing, and light clean-up after meals.Flexibility
  • Availability for additional hours during school breaks, snow days, or unexpected schedule changes is essential.Emotional Maturity
  • Maintain composure and provide calm, patient guidance in emotionally charged situations.
  • Effectively manage sensory overload or meltdowns using de-escalation techniques and a structured routine.Specialized Care
