Product Manager Job Responsibilities
Job Overview :
As a Product Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping our electrification strategies, bridging technical expertise with market trends to drive sales of our electrified product line.
With a primary focus on the North American market and encompassing all OEMs, you will be actively involved in defining and promoting the footprint in the hybrid and battery electric vehicle sectors.
Your role will be crucial in transforming our electrification strategies into successful, commercialized products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboratively engage with sales teams in North America to decipher and map out OEMs’ electrification strategies.
- Champion the promotion of electrified products with customers across the North American market and beyond
- Drive strategic initiatives to gather and interpret market intelligence, translating complex data into actionable insights for sales and product strategy development.
- Be at the forefront of market research in the electrification sector, providing in-depth insights into customer preferences, competitor actions, and industry trends.
- Analyze market potential for existing and prospective product lines, making informed recommendations on investments and market positioning.
- Partner with manufacturing, purchasing and R&D teams to underpin business acquisition strategies and align product development with market needs.
- Efficiently track and assess global market opportunities, including customer insights, major issues, and CAPEX requirements, to refine business strategies and decision-making.
- Embrace additional responsibilities as the role evolves in line with industry dynamics.
Reporting Structure :
Report to VP of Business Development & Engineering
KPIs (Illustrative) :
- Achieve targeted sales growth and increase market share in the North American electrification sector
- Effectiveness in identifying and capitalizing on global market opportunities, resulting in new customer acquisition and expanded market presence.
- Quality of collaboration with sales, R&D, purchasing and manufacturing teams leading to successful product launches and alignment with market needs.
- Achieve positive ROI on electrified product line investments.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role blending technical acumen with market strategy, preferably in the electrification or automotive field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing; a Master’s in Business Administration as a significant advantage
- Past experience or strong interest in mechatronics or related product design is preferred
- Proficiency in financial analysis, understanding of manufacturing cost structures and business case development.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 30% of the time
