Selection for further consideration
Degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in : Natural Resources Law Enforcement, Conservation and Environmental Law Enforcement, Natural Resource Protection, Resource Management Officer Technology, Fish and Wildlife Management, or Biological Sciences.
Experience working in an enforcement-based position, with experience enforcing a variety of legislation, including conducting investigations, laying charges, etc.
preferably related to the renewable resource field.
Experience effectively handling complaints regarding a variety of human / wildlife conflicts, including live capture and euthanizing wildlife;
and experience conducting chemical immobilizations
Enforcement experience working in a remote community, preferably in a northern setting is an asset
Candidates who have education, training, and / or experience equivalent to the above qualifications may be equally considered.

CURRENT RESEARCH & INVESTIGATION SKILLS to successfully conduct a wide variety of investigations.
Additional Information
Conditions of Employment : Your appointment will not be finalized until the following conditions of employment have been met : Medical clearance, Valid Yukon Driver’s License (Class 5) or equivalent, valid First Aid / CPR Certificates or able to acquire within three months, valid Firearms Possession and Acquisition License, Security Clearance (RCMP), Successful completion of Western Conservation Law Enforcement Academy (or equivalent), presently trained, certified and qualified to carry a service pistol (including handling and storage of firearms), successful completion of a Psychological Assessment, and a declaration of any convictions under the Criminal Code of Canada for which an official pardon has not been received, as well as any convictions under the following acts : Animal Protection Act, Area Development Act, Environment Act, Fisheries Act, Forest Protection Act, Migratory Birds Convention Act, Parks and Land Certainty Act, Pounds Act, WAPPRIITA Act, Waters Act, Wilderness Tourism Licensing Act and Wildlife Act including convictions under similar legislation in other jurisdictions.
Job Requirements : Travel throughout the territory in varying weather conditions, working independently, shift work, including working weekends and wearing a uniform provided by the department.
