The Global Director of Purchasing has the overall responsibility for the entire global purchasing function.

This person will support the senior manager of global production purchasing and approve new vendor sourcing, as well as the global supplier strategic plan, ensuring all new product development is supported with optimal component fabrication processes and supplier selection.

What will you do?

• Lead the development of purchasing systems, policies and processes and ensure global consistency in their application
• Lead the development and implementation of global purchasing strategies
• Lead the support function for the global supplier strategic plan
• Support the global Purchasing team in the negotiation process
• Lead the annual Global Cost reduction initiative
• Ensure suppliers meet the ongoing requirements for cost and production capacity
• Lead the Advanced Purchasing function in collaboration with Product Engineering to determine the most cost-effective component fabrication processes and supplier selection for all new product opportunities.
