Job description

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Technology, the eDiscovery Case Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end electronic discovery process for legal matters, investigations, and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to provide strategic advice to legal teams on eDiscovery best practices.

This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable working under tight deadlines. The eDiscovery Case Manager will work closely with other members of the Osler Works - Disputes (OWD) team, including the Head of OWD, Review Managers, Lawyers, Litigation Support Specialists, and other Case Managers, to deliver exceptional results.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

  • Work closely with Litigation Support Specialists to process, ingest, and produce documents and ESI from Relativity and other Review platforms
  • Assist with the implementation of defensible data collection methods, both by advising on best practices and by conducting on-site collections when necessary
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to eDiscovery tools and processes, leveraging advanced troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of workflows, processes, and project-specific protocols

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Generate reports and analytics for legal teams to assist with case strategy and decision-making
  • Assist in quality control (QC) processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of document productions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, lawyers, paraprofessionals, and external vendors
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented approach to collaboration
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
