WestCorp Solutions is seeking a Project Controller to support a large, active capital portfolio at a major industrial operation. This on‑site role will support project managers and portfolio leadership with cost control, forecasting, reporting, and financial governance across a multi‑year capital program.
Location : On‑site (near Saskatoon, SK)
Schedule : 9 / 80 schedule (7 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM)
Contract : 12 months minimum, potential for long‑term extension
Start : As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities
- Support administration of the site Surface Project Control Program in collaboration with portfolio leadership
- Assume responsibility for portfolio forecasting in coordination with Project Managers
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual forecasting accuracy targets
- Support project planning and execution within the client’s project management framework
- Assist with cost monitoring, control, and variance analysis
- Develop and maintain portfolio‑level reports and dashboards
- Prepare and deliver presentations and updates to stakeholders and management
- Support change management, contingency risk identification
- Manage annual and multi‑year portfolio cashflow forecasting
- Support accruals, cost reconciliation, and project closeout activities
- Troubleshoot financial and system‑related issues across project control tools
- Drive continuous improvement of portfolio management processes and systems
- Escalate cost, schedule, and risk concerns as appropriate
- Engage with project stakeholders to support clear, accurate reporting
Qualifications
Post‑secondary education in a relevant technical or business disciplineMinimum 3+ years of experience in project controls, project coordination, or a related roleExperience in an operating industrial or heavy industrial environment is an assetBackground in mining or potash operations is considered an assetStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)Experience with project control, planning, or EAM systems (e.g., Planisware, Oracle) is an assetStrong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage at multiple levelsSelf‑motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervisionWestCorp Solutions is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
