Toromont Remanufacturing is looking for a Process & Quality Specialist to join our team in Bradford, ON! This role will ensure that all REMAN product is reliable, consistently built to the highest quality standards, and meets our customer’s life-cycle expectations.
Key Accountabilities :
- Participate in safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs, and initiatives.
- Maintain, own & improve procedures & compliance, ensuring tooling calibration program is adhered to (managing process documentation, measuring KPIs…).
- Create and maintain process maps, procedures, and technical specifications.
- Schedule shop maintenance - provide guidance to shop employees and coordinate with outside contractors. Ensure shop equipment is maintained & determine whether replacement vs. repair is necessary.
- Warranty claim investigation – work with branches & customers to investigate warranty claims, ensuring failed parts and information are received, applied failure analysis is performed, and preventative actions implemented.
- Create quality bulletins and provide in-person feedback to employees on quality issues.
- Continuous improvement projects – continually improve quality, process, and facilities using various CI projects; research & select specialty tooling for various applications to improve safety, accuracy, and turn-around time.
- Contamination control – ensure facility waste is in compliance with local requirements, perform monthly contamination control audits.
- Metric & data analysis – collect data for quality and process metrics, analyze warranty and REDO data to identify opportunities to change process, parts reuse, or tooling.
Key Qualifications :
Technical background, with college or university education in a mechanical / automotive field.Knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, engine, and various other heavy equipment or automotive systems.Technical experience with Caterpillar equipment and systems such as SIS is considered an asset.Experience in root cause analysis, failure analysis, and failure modes and effects analysis.Experience maintaining large pieces of shop equipment.Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.Non-destructive testing certification is an asset, Magnetic Particle Level II.Highly customer-centric and a strong team player with a sense of urgency and a continuous improvement mindset.Safety conscious, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.Attention to detail, efficient time-management, and effective planning skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Self-directed with high integrity and initiative to be proactive in problem-solving.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.#J-18808-Ljbffr
