Location : Markham (4 days a week in office)
Salary : 100,000 - 120,000 base salary plus 10% target bonus
About the Opportunity :
Reporting to senior leadership (including the General Manager and Global CFO), this newly created Manager of Finance role will be the key commercial finance partner for our client, a fast-growing, PE-backed business in the medical aesthetics sector. In a lean environment with limited automated reporting, you’ll build and own the financial models, reporting, and analytics that support major growth decisions across Canada. You’ll work closely with local leaders and European finance partners to evaluate sales investments, new territories, and product launches. This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting foundations who enjoys hands-on work with data and wants to shape the commercial finance and insights function within a small, ambitious team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary owner of commercial finance and analytics, improving tools and processes as the organization scales.
- Prepare sales and account-level reporting, including restating historical periods for accurate comparisons and trends.
- Extract, clean, and manipulate data from multiple systems to create reliable, repeatable reports without mature BI tools.
- Build and maintain financial and commercial models to assess sales productivity, territory expansion, and product performance.
- Develop pro forma models to support new sales hires and product launches across provinces.
- Perform detailed profitability, cost, and margin analysis, identifying and investigating margin deterioration.
- Provide clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership and private equity stakeholders.
- Partner with the GM, Director of Administration, and European finance teams to validate data and deliver timely analysis.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for non-financial stakeholders.
What You Bring :
CPA with strong financial and management accounting experience.5–8 years in analytical finance roles, ideally in mid-sized pharmaceutical, CPG, or other product-based companies.Experience in PE-backed, high-growth, or lean environments where processes are still evolving (asset).Strong track record building and maintaining advanced financial models (e.g., pro forma P&L, headcount / territory, sales productivity).Deep experience in profitability, cost, and margin analysis, including root-cause investigation of margin erosion.Comfort working autonomously in a largely standalone finance / analytics capacity and influencing senior stakeholders.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting with high attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including working effectively with overseas finance teams.Next Steps :
