Position Overview

We seek a talent Senior Software Developer to join our growing software team and help drive our technological innovation. In this role, you'll be responsible for architecting and implementing robust solutions that transform complex scientific soil data into actionable insights for our customers. You'll deploy advanced soil models into production, design and maintain scalable backend systems, and oversee the development of sophisticated data pipelines. What You'll Build

Your work will be central to developing LiORA's Environmental Intelligence Framework—the core platform that powers our ability to transform raw environmental data into predictive insights. You'll work across a polyglot backend environment spanning Go, Elixir / Phoenix, and Python, building the systems that ingest sensor data, run scientific models, and deliver real-time analysis to customers making critical environmental decisions.

This is infrastructure that matters : the code you write will directly support environmental remediation efforts, helping organizations understand and respond to contamination events faster and more accurately than ever before.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of backend systems that translate scientific soil data into algorithmic value for customers
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and optimize soil models in production environments
• Architect, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable data pipelines for processing environmental data
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and establishing best practices and coding standards
• Design and implement APIs that allow seamless integration of our services with client systems
• Oversee database architecture decisions and optimize data storage solutions while ensuring data integrity and security
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure operational excellence
• Contribute to technical decision-making processes and help define the technology roadmap
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new features that align with product vision
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of systems, APIs, and processes
