Our car dealership client is seeking a strategic and experienced Controller to join their team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing transactional processes, and supporting departmental leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a CPA designation, strong leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to drive efficiency and stability within the team.
Success Factors
- Oversee dealership-level financial reporting and analysis for internal stakeholders, manufacturers, and shareholders
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll, audit processes, and other transactional functions
- Lead a team of eight direct reports, providing mentorship and oversight across financial operations
- Uphold and protect departmental processes while maintaining a team-first approach to resolving challenges
- Provide analysis and support on payment plans, service department, inventory, and leases
- Ensure compliance with GST / PST regulations and internal controls
- Collaborate with HR on employee-related matters and contribute to maintaining a strong workplace culture
- Provide system oversight and ensure operational efficiency across financial platforms
