Experience

5 years' experience in an increasingly independent professional role

Pediatric assessment and treatment, multi-disciplinary assessment

Supervisory experience is an asset

Education

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

Other Education and Training

Bachelor of Physical Therapy is acceptable

Current CPR certification

Competencies

Intermediate - Time management skills

Knowledge and Abilities

Knowledge in the determinants of health and impact on health

Extensive knowledge of community health services

Highly developed written and oral communication skills

Skill in mentoring, training, clinically supervising students and related disc.

Ability to be self-directed and work relatively independently

Professional maturity and leadership in clinical area.

Knowledge and application of quality improvement principles, tools, and outcomes

Ability to design and conduct in-service training for other professionals

Knowledge of HIPA

Knowledge of TLR with willingness to be trained as a TLR trainer

Knowledge of Safety legislation (Occupational Health & Safety & Evidence Act)

Works independently, effectively and cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team
