Automation / Data Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Data / Automation Engineer for a 6 month contract. This is a remote opportunity; however, a candidate must sit in Calgary and be available approximately once a month to go into the office for crucial meetings. A successful candidate will be responsible for integrating alert systems, gather and contextualize data and create dashboards for metrics. This candidate will also be automating repetitive tasks and monitoring automation tools as well as collaborating with NOC and SOC teams to build data automation pipeline as well as implementing automation for network configuration, security policies and incident response.

Skills and Requirements

Extensive experience in automation tools, Ansible preferred.

Extensive experience using Prometheus.

Experience in creating and maintaining dashboards using Grafana

Proficient in Python and Ruby on Rails.

Extensive experience with data visualization.

Experience streamlining / automating data.

Understanding of network and security operations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven track record of working with multiple teams.

A self starter, someone who can create work for themselves.
