The Opportunity

McElhanney has a new opportunity for a Structural Engineer to grow our team in Prince George, BC. Other McElhanney locations and remote work will be considered for the right individual.

You will be part of a small local team and a larger structural engineering group with over 30 members in various McElhanney offices. As a self‑starter who is keen on challenging the status quo, you will find this role to be an amazing opportunity to take your leadership, business development, and technical skills to the next level. What You’ll Do

• Providing assessments, design, and field reviews for structural projects.
• Municipal / commercial / institutional / industrial building design using wood, steel, concrete, and masonry.
• Shallow foundation design for buildings including pre‑engineered steel buildings.
• Civil structures such as retaining walls, utility structures, etc.
• Construction field reviews.
• Project management of multi‑disciplinary projects, including managing structural assignments locally.
• Proposal preparation and business development.
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff.

What Can We Offer You?

The salary range for this position is $95,000 – $120,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary / wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
