CNC Machinist

Our clientWaycon Manufacturing Ltd. is an industrial equipment and machinerymanufacturer located in Penticton BC. They specialize in building awide variety of worldclass equipment and machinery for customersacross multiple industries in North America.

Situated on over 2acres of land their facility is equipped with the latest inhousestateoftheart tooling equipment and engineering technology toprovide a wide variety of manufacturing capabilities includingconcept design CNC machining fabrication welding painting andassembly totesting.

Theycurrently have an opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join theirteam. Suitable candidates will require experience programming andoperating CNC machinery and should enjoy taking pride in work andhave strong attention to detail to be able to meet their standardsin quality and safety.

Their CNC machining department is led by agroup of highly experienced Red Seal machinists backed bycommitment to quality andprecision.

Asthe successful candidate you will come with the ability toMastercam and setup CNC Machines as well as the ability totroubleshoot issues with cut quality andor cuttingefficiency.

Jobresponsibilities willinclude :

• Reviewdrawings in metric and standardmeasurements;
• Programset up and run parts onmachinery;
• Inspectfinished parts for quality and blueprintaccuracy;
• Cleanand organize work areadaily;
• Usethe overhead crane whennecessary;
• Performother duties asassigned / required.

Requirements

• Previousexperience working as a JourneymanMachinist;
• Atleast 5 years of previous machine shopexperience;
• Strongprogramming and machining skills andabilities;
• Selfmotivatedand ability to work effectively in teamenvironment;
• Dedicatedto holding high quality and safety standards inworkmanship;
• Professionalcommunicationskills;
• Strongproblemsolving skills andresourcefulness;
• Ableto interpret blueprints and partdrawings.
