Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, STAAD.Pro, or similar. Strong knowledge of materials, construction methods, and industry standards. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Experience with project management and coordination is a plus.
Our client is an industry leader in vertical access equipment in North America. They are currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team in Uxbridge.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design components and analyze mechanical and structural systems for various projects.
- Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Perform or manage stress, load, and structural integrity analyses.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and project managers to optimize designs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing and construction teams.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee installations to ensure quality and adherence to plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
