We are looking for an Engineering Co-op to join the Robotics division of our Projects team! The student will provide support to the Projects team in the development of robotic industrial systems, automation solutions, and process improvements.
Requirements
EXAMPLES OF PREVIOUS COOP STUDENT WORK AND OUTCOMES…
- Programming of a 6-axis Kawasaki robot in a material handling application → project implemented in production.
- Mechanical design of various system components (Conveyors, rack-docks, safety cells) → designs fabricated in-house and implemented in production
- Programming of PLC control systems in structured text / ladder logic → PLCs implemented in production as robot system control
- Computer simulation of various robots for packaging and material handling applications → project proposals sent to executive team.
- Mechanical design and assembly of robot end-of-arm tooling → tooling constructed and implemented in production
- Planning robot cell layouts in CAD software and proposing product flow for full integration → Layouts used to inform design decisions of further projects.

Experience in a food manufacturing environmentOTHER…You are working towards a degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics (or similar) engineering.You can work primarily in our Mission, BC office with occasional day-trips to our bakery in Abbotsford, BC.Valid driver’s license (class 5 or 7N)Benefits
