Role Overview

Family Practitioner / General Practitioner at Health Match BC .

Location : Creston, British Columbia, Canada – a thriving community within the Creston Valley, known for its agricultural diversity, award‑winning farmer's market, wineries, and outdoor recreation.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine clinical care within the practice of the medical clinic.
• Offer on‑call emergency services (approximately 1 on call per 11 clinic hours).
• Support acute patient services at Creston Valley Hospital, including GP surgery, anesthesia, low‑risk obstetrics, inpatient care, and dialysis.
• Coordinate with local diagnostics (laboratory, imaging, ultrasound) and hospital departments such as pharmacy, dietetics, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy.
• Assist in hosting visiting specialists to limit patient travel.
• Support students and residents from UBC Medical School completing their rural training components.

Qualifications

Standard family practitioner credentials and a commitment to comprehensive patient care.

Compensation

Fee‑for‑Service. Estimated remuneration approx $450,000+. Physician overhead negotiable. Billing split varies per clinic.
