We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to complete our team in Fort McMurray, AB.
Position is a 14x14 rotational days and nights.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Anticipate and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Identifies additional service opportunities with customer.
Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Heavy duty Red seal certification- OFF road is mandatory
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
Mining experience is an asset as this position supports our mining team.
Working on Komatsus products is an asset.
High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience is considered an asset for this role.
Customer facing service experience is required.

Work is at Suncor Base Plant
No accommodations: Cummins offers a monthly 1000$ living allowance to help cover this type of expenses.
You are responsible for transportation to the work site (ride sharing is also available)
Random drug and alcohol testing on site.
Service vehicle and tooling are provided.
Position will support our mining team.
Cummins offers a 5000$ sign on bonus for this position.
Hourly wages $ hourly plus premiums
Some traveling to be expected
Position requires a Fit Test (respiratory protection) as this is a site requirement.
