5-Ton Truck Driver (Class 5 License with Air Brake Endorsement)

Job type : Temporary contract (6 months)

Pay Rate : $26.53 per hour

We are looking for a responsible and motivated 5-Ton Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will hold a Class 5 driver’s license with Air Brake endorsement, with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role involves transporting goods across various locations, maintaining warehouse operations, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Adhere to daily warehouse schedules to ensure on‑time product deliveries.
• Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts or manual handling where necessary, ensuring product integrity.
• Deliver products and supplies to various shop locations across the Lower Mainland.
• Shuttle goods between Purdys Warehouses, and other Greater Vancouver locations.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are safe and ready for operation.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety policies, and company standards.
• Assist with warehouse duties including packing, shipping, receiving, and organizing products and supplies.
• Perform vehicle maintenance checks (fluid levels, brakes, tires, lights) and report any mechanical issues immediately.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage inventory accuracy, ensuring products are properly documented and stored in accurate location
• Communicate with Supervisor to update on delivery progress and address any issues.
• Ensure timely reporting of any accidents, delays, or delivery issues.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with shop personnel during deliveries.
