Job Summary :

The Vice President will oversee all activities for our multi-family residential projects in the Edmonton region. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in construction management, exceptional project management skills, and a commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Leadership : Lead and manage multiple multi-family residential construction projects from inception through completion.

Team Management : Supervise and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and construction staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Budget Management : Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining quality standards.

Scheduling : Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of construction.

Quality Control : Implement and oversee rigorous quality control processes to ensure all projects meet the company’s high standards of workmanship.

Vendor Management : Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.

Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all projects comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations, including building codes and safety standards.

Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and quality.

Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.

Sustainability : Promote and implement sustainable building practices and materials in line with company and industry standards.

Continuous Improvement : Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance project delivery.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.

g., PMP, LEED AP) are a plus.

Experience : Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multi-family residential projects.

Technical Skills : Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend), project scheduling tools (e.

g., MS Project, Primavera), and financial management systems.

Leadership : Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing complex projects and resolving issues efficiently.

Local Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of the Edmonton real estate market and local construction practices and regulations.

Results-Driven : Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
