Wordpress Developer

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Wordpress Developer for a 2 month contract in Winnipeg, MB.

Wordpress Developer Job Details

The client is undertaking an initiative to move existing websites to WordPress. The selected resource(s) will provide technical capability and leadership to adopt WordPress best practices while working with the client, business owners and the Digital Experience team.

Initial scope is to provide technical leadership to adopt and transform products to WordPress headless architecture. Scope may evolve depending on project needs.

Wordpress Developer Responsibilities

Provide WordPress technical leadership
Define and support code management
Define and support quality management
Define and support plugin design
Define and support theme design
Provide advice to support evolving security and compliance needs
Work with the hosting provider to define hosting requirements, CI / CD and service integration
Provide Cross Training to MPI resources
Participate in sprint planning, document and manage Work In Process

Wordpress Developer Must Have Skills

Responsible for delivering WordPress Public website products

Experience delivering WordPress headless architecture

Experiences in programming, plugins and building fully custom themes

Experience of the core JavaScript language, HTML5, CSS3 and PHP

Experience with version controls tools such as Git and Azure DevOps

Delivered projects that are WCAG 2.1 AA

Experience delivering modern websites with a focus on user experience and accessibility

Experience working in an agile team with defined sprints

Experience with web analytics tools is an asset
