Who you are

You have aMedical Degree from a recognized medical school and postgraduate studies (residency) in the field of family medicine, internal medicine and/or hospitalist medicine.

You possess a valid license to practice medicine in New Brunswick through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick (CPSNB), and ACLS Certification.

Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level. Bilingual skills would be considered an asset.

What you will do

Reporting to the Hospitalist Medicine Department Head and the Medical Director for the area, the Hospitalist Medicine Physician collaborates with other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered, Nurses, and other Allied Medical Staff to provide:

• Comprehensive inpatient care to family medicine patients admitted to our institution or transferred from specialty services including comprehensive admission orders, admission history and physicals, appropriate investigations and consultation requests and daily progress notes.
• On-site patient care responsibilities aligned with the Department.
• Share on-call responsibilities with the team of hospitalists.
• Participate in medical practice that is compatible with the Health Authority’s mission, values, and strategic directions.
• Other duties that may arise by circumstance and may be assigned by the Department of Hospitalist Medicine.
