Job description

Fibracast is a global leading membrane technology innovator and manufacturer. The company has built off the lessons learned over the last 20 years of membrane applications, to develop a globally competitive, patented ultrafiltration membrane called FibrePlate. The company manufactures its membranes at its world class manufacturing facility and head office based out of Hannon, Ontario. We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Finance Manager with strong communication interpersonal skills to join our Finance team.

This position will be based in Fibracast head office in Hannon, Ontario.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage bookkeepers providing guidance and support to ensure timely delivery of accurate work
  • Execute complex inventory and systems revenue recognition accounting processes monthly
  • Ensure month end close activities are completed in a timely manner, supported by well-documented files and complete reconciliations
  • Review financial statements by region and department and consolidate the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow monthly
  • Prepare and share monthly budget-to-actual reporting to various departments, collaborating with business to ensure a thorough understanding and that issues are resolved
  • Manage the Canadian, USA and EMEA payroll processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain the global weekly cash flow forecast with precision
  • Manage global AR invoicing and collections processes
  • Manage the AP process and determine weekly payment run for EMEA and North America
  • Manage sales tax filings processes (Canada and EMEA)
  • Assist with annual budgeting process
  • Prepare external annual financial statements
  • Support the CFO in the coordination and timely completion of the company’s financial statement audit and corporate tax return filings liaising with the company’s audit and tax firm
  • Assist in special projects as needed

Experience / Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business
  • CPA
  • 5+ years of working experience and 2+ years in a similar capacity
  • Experience managing payroll and collections an asset
  • Experience working with QuickBooks an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driven and self-started
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively
