Senior HR Coordinator

We are seeking a Senior HR Coordinator to support our growth in Coquitlam and Surrey!
The Senior HR Coordinator will provide timely and professional Human Resources support to the division, while ensuring the appropriate governing legislation is adhered to.
They will also act as the first point of contact for HR and QEHS inquiries from employees. This role will oversee the day-to-day execution of applicable programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with the Organization's objectives and functional HR goals.
This is an on-site role to support two locations (approximately 15 minutes apart).
Responsibilities include :
- Lead various aspects of recruitment process, including start up recruitment supporting our recycling operation.
- Provide guidance and instruction to employees on Human Resources policies, programs, and systems.
- Actively participates in the development of HR programs and initiatives and supports the implementation and maintenance.
- Assist with all health & safety functions, including OHS compliance, investigations, JHSC, training, reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Active participation in JHSC, along with promoting safety awareness.
- Support Plant Wide Meetings, maintain and update employee communications.
- Complete onboarding orientation for new hires.
- Maintaining employee files
- Coordinate with hiring agency as required for temporary employee support.
- Prepare and issue various monthly reports (absenteeism, recruitment, training, etc.)
- Support HR reporting, performance, and merit process.
- Coordinate and participate in social events as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary degree / certificate in Human Resources Management.
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
- Previous experience in health and safety would be an asset.
- Previous experience working in operations / logistics / manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Ability to interact with various levels of the organization.
- Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
- Solid computer skills required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
- Exceptional interpersonal communication (written and verbal).
- Highly organized and has a high degree of attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and superior ability to problem solve.
