Salary : CA$105,000.00 / yr – CA$120,000.00 / yr.

An exciting opportunity : Invinity is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join its product development organization on the Balance of System Design team (Mechanical). Reporting to the Team Lead Balance of System, you will be responsible for identifying and understanding key parameters for new manufacturing methods and processes and then collaborating with the design team to take full advantage of these new capabilities. You will be empowered to make key design and process decisions and work with others to evolve Invinity’s products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify new manufacturing methods and processes, work with internal and external partners to understand capabilities, and feedback information into the design process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, manufacturing, production, & quality to launch new parts into production.
• Evaluate prototypes and perform first article inspections, providing feedback to suppliers and design team.
• Develop and conduct verification testing to confirm product performance, quality and manufacturability.
• Product mechanical design, including component design, component selection and overall product design.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assembly and part drawings, bills of materials, component and sub-system specifications.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation (Specifications, FMEAs, FTAs, etc).
• Travel to suppliers (Domestic & International) to verify capabilities and evaluate prototypes.
