Employment Type : Full-Time, Permanent OTE $120K - $150K
Compensation : $40 - $50 per hour, commensurate with experience, Red Seal certification, supervisory background, and proven leadership in electrical projects. This role suits a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, values accountability, and is passionate about mentoring crews while delivering defect-free, code-compliant work.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct crews of licensed electricians on various job sites, delegating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to review scopes of work, prepare accurate estimates (including digital take-offs), and develop detailed electrical plans for renovations, new builds, or service upgrades.
- Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including panel upgrades, rewiring (aluminum and knob & tube), EV chargers, heat pumps, lighting retrofits, generators, smoke detectors, home automation, circuit breakers, and thermal imaging inspections.
- Perform on-site inspections, energy efficiency assessments, and consultations to identify upgrade opportunities and recommend solutions that enhance safety and efficiency.
- Enforce rigorous safety standards, including WCB compliance, proper use of protective equipment, and best practices to maintain a hazard-free, organized work environment.
- Manage crew scheduling, monitor key performance metrics (timelines, budgets, quality), and ensure all installations meet warranty commitments and high standards of craftsmanship.
- Mentor and train junior electricians, fostering skill development and adherence to neat, professional execution.
- Handle client communications with transparency and professionalism, including builders, property managers, homeowners, and business owners, to achieve 100% satisfaction.
- Conduct troubleshooting for complex issues, provide innovative solutions, and support insurance-related inspections or electrical planning reports.
Qualifications and Requirements
Valid Red Seal Inter-Provincial Electrician certification (mandatory).At least 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory / foreman capacity on commercial and residential projects.Valid BC driver's license and reliable vehicle for site travel across the Lower Mainland.In-depth knowledge of British Columbia Electrical Code, safety regulations (WCB), and current industry standards.Proven expertise across services such as service / panel upgrades, EV / heat pump installations, rewiring, lighting / energy retrofits, and diagnostic tools like thermal imaging.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, control project costs / timelines, and deliver high-quality results on projects from small service calls to large-scale builds.Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team leadership, client interactions, and clear reporting.Physical capability for demanding site work, including lifting, working at heights, and varied environments.Alignment with values of integrity, accountability, safety-first mindset, and a commitment to excellence and relationship-building.Preferred Skills
