Job descriptionJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. Minimum of [2–5] years of experience practicing family law (preferred). Strong knowledge of family law statutes, procedures, and case law. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills. High level of professionalism and integrity. Ability to handle emotionally sensitive cases with compassion and discretion. Mediation or collaborative law training. Experience with high-net-worth divorce or complex custody matters. Bilingual abilities (a plus, depending on client base).
Job Overview :
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and experienced Family Law Lawyer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support arrangements, domestic violence cases, and property division. You will work closely with clients, providing expert legal guidance while advocating for their best interests throughout the legal process.
Key Responsibilities :
- Represent clients in family law proceedings such as divorce, child custody, support hearings, adoption, and protection orders.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, agreements, and court submissions.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their rights, obligations, and options.
- Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes between parties when appropriate.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies.
- Manage case files, deadlines, and court dates efficiently.
- Maintain client confidentiality and demonstrate empathy during emotionally charged cases.
- Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and other attorneys to ensure case efficiency.
