Front Office, Guest Experience, and Administrative Support

Office Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented office administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be an integral part of the day-to-day functions of the entire office. From greeting guests, ordering supplies, setting up Factory Tours, to assisting with event planning, this position will touch every part of our business!

ZS2 is leveraging material science and construction technology to cement a more sustainable and resilient future for the built environment. As the leader in magnesium cement (MgO) technology, we are innovating both its production and applications to decarbonize the construction industry.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, we are scaling sustainable technology into action with high-performance building materials, powering industry-leading projects and partnerships across North America. From manufacturing advanced materials to developing carbon-negative cement with carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS) technology, we balance practical construction solutions with a strong focus on R&D.

At ZS2, you’ll join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team of problem-solvers—engineers passionate about the environment, marketers allergic to greenwashing, and researchers executing actionable decarbonization. Collaboration is at our core, with interdepartmental teams tackling some of the most pressing challenges in climate and construction.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and support a wide variety of duties to ensure that the office is operating smoothly such as :
  • Ordering stationary supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained
  • Maintaining a stocked kitchen of coffee and snacks for staff and guests
  • Organizing all boardrooms and meeting spaces for daily meetings
  • Assisting various teams with order requests for specialty parts
  • Perform receptionist duties : greet visitors, and answer, track and direct phone calls
  • Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail
  • Manage office budgets for Kitchen supplies
  • Ensure efficiency, and quality goals are attained at each client engagement
  • Assist with HR related tasks as required

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in customer service / management
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership, people management, and organizational skills
  • Laser focused attention to details
  • Solutions orientated
  • Creative flair to assist our sales and marketing efforts would be a great asset
