Reporting to the Director of Care, the Program Manager provides leadership, coordination, and direction in the delivery of high-quality clinical care within the Mission, Vision, and Values of Shepherd’s Care Foundation. This role oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care services while ensuring compliance with continuing care health service standards, legislation, and SCF policies and procedures.
The Program Manager supports residents and their families through advocacy, choice, and person-centered care, demonstrating professional competence, sound judgment, and evidence-based practice. Committed to continuous quality improvement, the Program Manager fosters an environment that promotes excellence in resident care and upholds the organization’s Behaviour Standards and professional nursing practices.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) and possess a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience at a supervisory or management level in CCH-A or related field. A Gerontology Certificate is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, clearly, and efficiently. Current CPR / BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) certification and a valid driver’s license with a driver’s abstract acceptable to the Employer are also required.
